Skilled trades and operators for FMCG plants, whenever your roster falls short
BevTech supplies industrial electricians, fitters, controls engineers and production operators to food and beverage manufacturers across Brisbane and South East Queensland. Every placement comes from an engineering business that has spent more than 25 years building, programming and maintaining production lines, so our people arrive knowing what a filler fault, a seamer problem or a PLC alarm looks like at two in the morning.

Why it is different
Labour hire from an engineering company, not a staffing agency
Most labour hire firms fill vacancies from a database. BevTech fills them from a working engineering business. Our electrical, automation and mechanical teams deliver installations, upgrades and breakdown repairs for Australian beverage and FMCG manufacturers, and we have worked with brands including Lion, CUB and Coca-Cola Amatil. The people we place are drawn from that same pool of experience, and they stay connected to it while they are on your site.
That matters on a production floor. A fitter who has worked on can lines understands why a seamer change part cannot wait until Monday. An industrial electrician who has fault-found on Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms can get a line running again without a remote engineer talking them through every step. Production operators who know food and beverage environments settle into your hygiene rules, changeovers and quality checks quickly, so your team spends less time supervising and more time producing.
Whether you are searching for labour hire in Brisbane to cover a single night shift or a full crew for an annual shutdown, you deal with a family-owned business that measures success by long-term partnerships, not placement numbers.

Best for: sites moving towards 24/7 production

A coordinated team of electricians, fitters, machinists and fabricators for a fixed window.

How it works
From first call to first shift
- Tell us what you need. Use our contact form to outline the role, the shifts, your site and the equipment involved. More detail means a better match.
- We match the person to your plant. We look past the trade title to your platforms, machines and production environment, and put forward people with relevant experience.
- Checked and inducted. Licences and tickets are confirmed before placement, and we work with you on site induction so cover is productive from the first shift.
- On shift, with engineering backup. If a fault goes beyond one pair of hands, your cover worker can call on BevTech’s engineers and workshop.
- Review and adjust. We check in regularly and scale cover up or down as your production plan changes.

Compliance
A licensed labour hire provider in Queensland
Under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2017 (Qld), Queensland businesses must only use labour hire providers that hold a current licence, and significant penalties apply for using an unlicensed provider. Bev-Tech Engineering Pty Ltd has held a Queensland labour hire licence since 2018, and you can confirm it on the public register at any time.
Work health and safety is a shared duty. As the provider, we have obligations to our workers alongside yours as the host, and we plan every placement with that in mind: clear scope, confirmed licences and tickets, site-specific induction and an open line of communication while the work is under way.

FAQs
Labour hire and shift cover questions
What is the difference between labour hire and shift cover?
Labour hire places a worker with your team for a continuous period, working under your day-to-day direction. Shift cover fills specific shifts your roster cannot, either with someone on site for set shifts or on call for breakdowns. Many BevTech clients use both.
How quickly can you provide cover?
It depends on the role, the shift and your location. BevTech offers 24/7 support, so you can reach us whenever a gap appears. For planned cover, the more notice you give, the more closely we can match experience to your equipment. If your need is urgent, say so when you contact us.
Is BevTech a licensed labour hire provider?
Yes. Bev-Tech Engineering Pty Ltd holds Queensland labour hire licence LHL-01447-W5F6V, which you can check on the Queensland Government’s public licence register.
Do you supply industrial electricians specifically?
Yes. Industrial electricians and PLC engineers are among the roles we place most often, for FMCG shift cover, shutdowns and longer placements. Our electrical labour hire page covers the electrical roles in more detail.
Do your workers know Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs?
PLC capability sits at the centre of BevTech’s electrical work, and our controls team works across both platforms. When a placement calls for PLC diagnostics or programming, we match people with that experience and tell you upfront what level of PLC work they are suited to.
Can you supply a full crew for our annual shutdown?
Yes. Shutdowns are where our engineering and labour hire services meet. We can supply electricians, fitters, machinists and fabricators, supported by our Richlands workshop for parts made or repaired inside the shutdown window. Our free FMCG and Beverage Plant Shutdown Planning Checklist, available from our homepage, is a good place to start.
Do you supply production operators as well as trades?
Yes. Alongside skilled trades, we supply process, packaging and machine operators for food and beverage plants, for short-term cover or longer placements.
Where do you provide labour hire?
We are based in Richlands in Brisbane’s south west and work with manufacturing sites across Brisbane and South East Queensland. For projects and shutdowns further afield, contact us to discuss what is possible.
Tradesperson or operator looking for work?
We hire in bursts around project wins and plant shutdowns. Join our employee register to be first in line. Register your interest.
Short a person tonight, or planning next season’s shutdown?
Tell us the role, the shifts and the site, and we will come back to you with people who know FMCG.
